Users of Ukraine-based Exmo cryptocurrency exchange report problems with withdrawal of funds and exchange operations. Last four days saw the increasing number of social media posts about users’ accounts being blocked by the exchange’s cybersecurity team due to “suspicious activity”.
“The withdrawal is blocked by the service administration. As a result, they ask to go through verification procedure, otherwise they won’t unlock the account. Online technical support service is unavailable, responses are being sent via e-mail with 15-20 minutes lags. They just quote the instructions, that’s all,” – one of the users wrote.
There have also been numerous complaints about constant escalation of transaction fees.
Exmo’s operating procedures presuppose account verification in the following cases: withdrawal of funds in USD or EUR; the use of Payza, Neteller or Skyrill electronic payment systems for money withdrawal or depositing; depositing/withdrawing funds via SEPA or Wire bank transfers.
