September 2018 will see the opening of the Russia’s first School of Digital Economy at the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU). The opening of the school will take place in conjunction with the Eastern Economic Forum, which is to be held in Vladivostok on September 11-13.

The school will be built around five master’s degree programmes, namely, “Cybersecurity”, “Virtual and augmented reality technologies”, “Artificial intelligence and big data”, “Territory development management based on technologies and the data from remote sensing of Earth” and “Digital art”.

The school will provide capacity training for cadre shaped to fit the priorities of “markets of the future”. The School of Digital Economy will be opened by the Head of Sberbank Herman Gref.

“The hunt for the professionals in the sphere of big data, machine learning and artificial intelligence becomes total. Sberbank together with FEFU undertake the challenge of training such professionals, who will, undoubtedly, become the most sought ones on the digital economy markets,” – he stated.

Last month, Novosibirsk State University (NSU) announced it will start the Russia’s first specialized master’s degree programme in the field of cryptography.
