Maltese PM called Malta a Blockchain Island

Malta is fast turning into one of the world’s major blockchain and cryptocurrency hubs. Maltese government has been actively adjusting the local laws in order to make the island state into a truly crypto-friendly jurisdiction.

These efforts were already appreciated by a number of cryptocurrency and blockchain giants. For instance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange Binance has moved its headquarters to the island and is now actively collaborating with Maltese government on a number of ambitious blockchain-based projects.

Last week, the country’s Prime Minister Joseph Muscat spoke at the inaugural DELTA Summit in Malta. He welcomed innovation in the field of blockchain and proclaimed that Malta is now a Blockchain Island.
