A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Russian FinTech Association (AFT) and the FinTech Association of Japan (FAJ). The two associations will jointly develop and implement promising technologies in the field of fintech and blockchain.
As noted by the FAJ Chairman Hiroki Maruyama, the cooperative project development and implementation will contribute to the enhancement of working relationship between Russia’s and Japan’s fintech sectors.
Tatyana Zharkova, the managing Director of the AFT stressed that both organizations will benefit from sharing their unique expertise in blockchain with each other:
“Japan was one of the first countries in the world to officially introduce regulation in the field of financial technology. The data on domestic application of financial technologies accumulated by the Japanese side is of considerable interest for us. But we too have much to share with the FAJ. In particular, we have the experience of creating Masterchain blockchain platform, which potentially could form the basis of the national blockchain infrastructure in Russia.”
It is worth noting that this year, 11 blockchain companies were included into Forbes Fintech 50 top list.
