Winklevoss twins are not giving up on Bitcoin ETF project

Cameron Winklevoss said that “Bitcoin is most likely the winner in the long term” during the recent “Ask me anything” session on Reddit. He also confirmed his determination to launch a Bitcoin ETF.

“We believe bitcoin is better at being gold than gold. If we’re right, then over time the market cap of Bitcoin will surpass the ~7trillion [sic] dollar market cap of gold,” – he stated.

When asked whether bitcoin will maintain its leading position in the crypto market or not, Cameron noted optimistically that “Bitcoin is certainly OG in crypto”, adding that “it’s hard to defeat network effects — so in terms of ‘hard money’ (i.e., store of value) Bitcoin is most likely the winner in the long term.”

The Winklevoss twins also reaffirmed their commitment to the idea of launching a BTC exchange traded fund (ETF).

Back in September 2018, Winklevoss brothers launched the world’s first regulated stablecoin – Gemini dollar (GUSD). Last month, Gemini also voiced its plans for expansion in Asia. Back then, Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss claimed that Gemini was ready to contest some of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges, including Bitfinex, Digifinex and Huobi.
