CBOE resubmitted the proposal for launching VanEck/SolidX bitcoin ETF

Chicago Board of Options Exchange (CBOE or CBOE BZX Exchange) has resumed its attempts to launch a bitcoin exchange traded fund (ETF) jointly with VanEck and SolidX. The renewed application for bitcoin ETF was filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

CBOE reiterated its proposal for launching bitcoin ETF to the SEC. It should also be noted that, last week, withdrew its previous proposal for amendments to the rules that could pave the way for the launch of a bitcoin ETF advocated by VanEck and SolidX due to the ongoing government shutdown in the U.S..

According to VanEck digital asset strategy lead Gabor Gurbacs, CBOE BZX Exchange would be able to list shares of a bitcoin ETF trust, if the new application proves to be successful.
